A strong union between the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MAFAR-BARMM) to support the distribution of government-owned lands in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

DAR Secretary Bro. John Castriciones and MAFAR minister Mohammad S. Yacob spearheaded the activity on May 31 at Pearlmonth Inn Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

“We are pleased with the support of the governor, mayors, and everyone here today because it will be legitimate for Marawi farmers to own lands on land that should have been theirs for a long time. These lands are part of their past and belong to their ancestors; it should just be returned to them, ”Brother John said.

Meanwhile, MAFAR Minister Mohammad Yacob thanked the government for its support to MAFAR in implementing land reform.

Among the signatories to support the land distribution were: Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Adiong, Jr., MAFAR Minister Mohammad Yacob, Mayor Ali Sumandar (Piagapo), Akira Alonto (Marantao), Hafiz Ampa Muti (Saguiaran), Majul Gandamra (Marawi City), and Sultan Ali Mindalano of the Marawi Sultanate League.
