224 NEWLY-HIRED MAFAR EMPLOYEES TAKE OATH

COTABATO CITY | July 7, 2021

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MAFAR-BARMM) conducted the 3rd Mass Oath Taking ceremony and Orientation of the newly hired employees region-wide.

Two hundred twenty-four newly hired employees (31) Region, (72) Maguindanao, (82) Lanao del Sur, (6) Basilan, (20) Sulu, and (13) Tawi-Tawi, held at MAFAR Conference, Cotabato City, Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob administered the Oath of Office. At the same time, Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Abuhuraira Udasan facilitated the new officials’ Pledge of Moral Governance for the newly appointed via zoom.

In a statement of Minister Yacob, to provide the services our people deserve, we have to maximize our capabilities, knowledge, skills, and gather as much experience to give the optimal assistance to the beneficiaries of our ministry.

“We’re in this government agency, and our responsibility is to serve and sacrifice for our people and be a competent member of the bureaucracy,” Yacob stressed.

The General Appropriations Act of the Bangsamoro approves 1125 permanent positions for MAFAR officers and staff. The ministry by now hired almost 500 permanent employees for regional and provincial offices.

Moreover, Deputy Minister Ammal Solaiman said, “I hope this will be an extra motivation and confidence in providing the services and opportunities to our Farmer, Fisherfolks And Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries.”

Director Julie Maliga of Admin and Finance Management said, “The newly appointed officers and staff, each of us will play a vital role to ensure the success of the Ministry.”

The newly hired employees from the five provinces participated via zoom.

MAFAR is still in the process of hiring qualified applicants for the next few months.
