BARMM’S PRDP CONDUCTS VIRTUAL ENTERPRISE ASSESSMENT UNDER I-REAP
COTABATO CITY – In a bid to come up with a clear picture of the current operation status of the Philippine Rural Development Project’s (PRDP) subprojects in the province of Tawi-Tawi, the I–REAP component conducted a virtual enterprise assessment with the Proponent Group in the Municipality of Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi on May 28, 2020.
The said enterprise assessment is a prompt response of the PRDP-BARMM in support to the forthcoming 10th World Bank Mission that is tentatively scheduled on June 15-30, 2020.
During the assessment, Business Development Officer (BDO) Sammy Ayub discussed with the Proponent Group the enterprise’s Organization and Administration with topics on Leadership and Governance emphasizing on the vision, mission, goals, core values, and policies, and Human Resource Management.
BDO Suhayra Subod discussed on Enterprise Operations, Inventory Management and Control, Fixed Assets Utilization & Maintenance, and Social and Environmental Safeguards (waste management and occupational safety and health procedures).
BDO Michael Ian Sastrillo discussed the topic on Financial Management and Marketing of the enterprise while Project Development Assistant (PDA) Raimah Amba discussed on the Enterprise Profiling Template.
Key Informants during the assessment were PG President Norata Soon, PG Treasurer Mr. Amildatun, and Municipal Planning and Development Council (MPDC) Vicente Cabanes.
The I-REAP Component has chosen the existing Proponent Groups (PG) in Tawi-Tawi in accordance with the selection criteria set forth by the Project Support Office. Accordingly, to be eligible for the Enterprise Assessment Tool, the PG’s enterprise should be either 100% completed and operational; or should have reached 50% physical accomplishment and is operational. It can also have below 50% accomplishment but operational.
While all five (5) existing Proponent Groups in Tawi-Tawi are qualified based on the criteria, only the PGs in Tandubas and Panglima Sugala will be subjected to the virtual enterprise assessment tool due to their strong communication signal compared with the PGs in Sitangkay, South Ubian and Sibutu that have very poor internet connection.
The Municipality of Tandubas will be the next subject of the Enterprise Assessment in the coming days.
The result of the I-REAP’s Virtual Enterprise Assessment will be submitted to the PRDP Project Support Office for consolidation with the other regions’ outputs. The PSO shall then include the same in the presentation during the 10th World Bank Mission.
