Capacity Building Training for ARBOs in Lanao

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform launched the implementation of eight (8) ladderized training for ARBOs under TFBM NDRMMF, namely; Fundamentals of Cooperatives, Governance of Cooperative, Basic Leadership Development Course, Islamic Values Re-orientation, Ethics, and Conflict Management, Strategic Business Planning, Financial Literacy, and Practical Bookkeeping held at Darul Iman, Brgy. Sandab Dama, Municipality of Butig.

With the initiative of Minister Mohammad S. Yacob Ph.D., together with Deputy Minister Ammal D. Solaiman, JD thru the Lanao del Sur Provincial Office headed by Director Atty. Khalid D. Ansano the month-long capacity-building component of the TFBM Rehabilitation Project was made possible.

This said training aimed to address capacity building and organizational strengthening for farmers’ groups and cooperatives which also served as team building for ARBOs to promote union among cooperatives.

Councilor Saiben Panolong, an MLGU representative, expressed his deepest gratitude to MAFAR for being the catalyst of development on cooperatives and the advancement of farmers and fisherfolks in Butig.

Meanwhile, CARPO Rocaina A. Mindalano thanked everyone for the smooth and productive conduct of the series of training. She is hopeful that ease is coming for ARBOs with the given training, farm machinery, and equipment from MAFAR.

Moreover, she asserted that the ministry will continue its effort in enhancing the well-being of the agrarian reform beneficiaries, farmers, and fisherfolk alike.
