DA RXII BUILDING TURNS OVER TO MAFAR-BARMM

The Department of Agriculture RXII Building has officially turned over to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
In ceremonies held on Wednesday, August 18, at the MAFAR Regional Office, DA Secretary William Dar, the Chief Minister of the BARMM Ahod Ebrahim Balawag Al hadj, and Minister Mohammad S. Yacob Ph. D inked the Memorandum of Agreement for the transfer of DA RXII building to the Bangsamoro Government.
Under the agreement is RA No. 11054 or the Bangsamoro Organic Law, where the national government is obligated to support the newly established Bangsamoro Government.
Included in the agreement is the transfer of DA properties and assets located in Cotabato City.
“This important milestone will be forever etched in our history as a lasting legacy of the Bangsamoro Government, our gathering today marks the fulfillment of the national government to the Bangsamoro government,” DAR said via zoom.
The building has office facilities and laboratories, which are now under the supervision of MAFAR-BARMM, including the management and maintenance of the said property after a ceremonial turn-over conducted by Sailila Abdullah, Assistant Secretary of DA to MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob.
Meanwhile, it was agreed that the MAFAR – BARMM Provincial Office of Maguindanao will take over the building.
Moreover, to witness the ceremony were DA Undersecretary for Regulations and Infrastructure,Engr. Zamzamin Ampatuan, DA Assistant Secretary Sailila E. Abdula, Project Evaluation Officer IV, DA-OSEC, Atty. Jamil Adrian Khalil Matalam, BARMM Assistant Senior Minister Abdullah Cusain, MAFAR Deputy Minister Ammal D. Solaiman, Director II for AFMS Julie O. Maliga, Director II for Agriculture Services Ismail Guiamel, Director II for Fisheries Services Macmod Mamalangcap, Director II for Agrarian Reform Services Taugan Kikay, Chief of Staff Arphia Ebus and Attorney V Nerissa O. Dalig.
