Farmer beneficiaries receive goats from MAFAR

Aiming to expand the livelihood of farmers in the region and help them recover after the calamities they have experienced, a total of 155 additional goats were delivered on Friday, July 22, given by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform from Barangay Boliok, Pikit, North Cotabato and Barangay Bente-Uno, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

Assistant to the Provincial Director for SGA and Cotabato City Disumimba D. Rasheed thanked the MAFAR regional office for allocating Barangay Boliok and one of the assistance recipients. He encourages the beneficiaries to take care of the program.

“The success of this program will depend on how you will properly manage this intervention,” Rasheed said.

In addition, Barangay, Chairman of Boliok Luth Salik, express their commitment to taking care of the intervention and will exert effort to expand the project. We will ensure that this project will serve its purpose.

“We are thankful to MAFAR because, among thousands of farmers, we are blessed that we are one to receive this program.” Said Chairman Salik. 

Livestock Poultry and Management Section head and Senior Agriculturist Seeham S. Pangol said the project was funded under Disaster Risk Reduction Management, and she also said the remaining heads of goats would be distributed in the coming days allotted for SGA and Cotabato City and in other provinces. The distribution will also follow Close Monitoring.

The distribution was also attended by other officials, including Agriculturist II Armanzor M. Sagandingan, the Inspectorate team Engr. Abdulhaq Gayak and Hassim G. Nul and other staff.
