As the livelihoods of the farmers are currently affected by the extensive and recurring flooding in Pagalungan, Maguindanao, their request for assistance was positively responded by the MAFAR today, August 20, 2020.

The ministry initially delivered and turned over 105 bags of hybrid yellow corn seeds and 50 bags of rice seeds for the farmers in Barangay Kudal, the birth place of Amirul Mujahideen Salamat Hashim.

With this, Barangay Chieftain Hashim informed the officials that their Barangay Development Plan (BDP) is ready and part of it is the establishment of flood dikes and he asked for assistance on how to lobby for immediate response.

Political Affairs Officer Asrap D. Sultan of the Office of MP Hashim expressed his gratitude to the MAFAR for its assistance and pieces of advice to the farming community and said it will greatly help in restoring the livelihoods of the people.
