HANDS-ON TRAINING ON TILAPIA CULTURE

January 13-14, 2021

 

Kabakan, North Cotabato- Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) has conducted a Two-day Hands-on Training on Tilapia Culture in Ponds and Cages at Mindanao Freshwater Fisheries Technology Center Fish Farm, Kabacan, North Cotabato on January 13-14, 2021. Two cluster Barangay under Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindao (BARMM) benefitted.

The activity is headed by Mr.Pendatun C. Patarasa and staffs of the Fisheries Production Division in affiliation with the MFFTC. Twenty nine fisherfolks beneficiaries from four cooperatives the Pindoluan Farmers Association, Al-Ikawan Farmers Cooperatives, Yusop Farmers Cooperatives and Martisan Farmers Cooperatives.

In his Welcome Message, Mr. Zabidi S. Badrudin, Aquaculture Technician of MFFTC and Production Head of Kabacan Fish Farm said “He is grateful for the opportunity of meeting his brothers for the first time, from the 63 barangays to serve and share with them his knowledge” He also added that the country is advancing in technology, and encourages them to be good and active so that the Bangsamoro will go forward and pleaded them not to “rock the boat” for this will be our last chance.

The activity concluded with the participant from Tupig, whose thoughts of impression about the training conducted, where he reiterated his gratefulness to Allah for the opportunity and experience given to them, and to MAFAR and its staffs that it broaden and uplifted their knowledge. They will never forget and treasure the time and promise to value for the betterment of Bangsamoro.
