ICTS STAFF UNDERGOES TRAINING TO ENHANCE INFORMATION DISSEMINATION

COTABATO CITY | May 27, 2021

Information, Communication & Technology Section of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform has undergone a two-day training on Video-Making and Photojournalism at Pagana Kutawato Native Restaurant, Cotabato City.

Nineteen (19) participants attended from the region, while one (1) representative from MAFAR- Maguindanao and the province of Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi are via zoom on May 27-28, 2021.

Engr. Musrifa M. Mago, Chief of ICTS, led the two-day training together with Dr. Kadiguia Abdullah, Information Consultant, Engr. Imyra Indian, AVP Specialist, and other ICTS staff.

Meanwhile, on behalf of MAFAR minister Mohammad S. Yacob, MAFAR Chief of Staff Arphia T. Ebus gave her inspirational message. She said, “The ICTS is vital for information dissemination for our people, farmers, fisherfolks, and agrarian reform beneficiaries for transparency of what we do in MAFAR.”

“Malaking bagay na mapabuti ang paglaganap ng impormasyon at palakasin ito dahil kumakatawan ito ng ating opisana,” Ebus emphasized.

The two-day training aims to enhance the skills and knowledge on scriptwriting, video/photo capturing, and editing to ensure the ministry’s service in broad dissemination of local and national information.

Mr. Ayn Aris Arellano Famfulme, a professional photographer, lectures on the essential details of Video- Making. While Ms. Valerie Ann P. Lambo, a journalist/ photojournalist, discusses photojournalism and photojournalism ethics.

In conclusion, the training on Video-Making and Photojournalism broadens the knowledge of the ICTS staff.
