MAFAR CHIEF SIGNS CONTRACT FOR THE DELIVERY OF ICT SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) facilities and equipment of the MAFAR shall soon be delivered after MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob signed contract with the supplier ARIAZ General Merchandize today (May 12, 2020) held at the MAFAR Conference Room.

These equipment shall be of huge significance to the ministry as they will be used for storage and management of data, according to Salembai A. Abdullah, Information Officer of MAFAR.

The ARIAZ General Merchandise, has won in the bidding process for the procurement and delivery of different ICT supplies and equipment with the lowest calculated and responsive bids for Lots 2 (softwares) and 3 (computers and laptops) with a total amount of Php5, 450,751.00, which shall be paid under the 2019 funds from the Department of Agriculture.

The contract signing and partnership with ARIAZ was made possible after the Office of the Minister issued the Notice of Award (NOA) to the said supplier on May 6, 2020. Another partnership has been established towards faster and more effective way of delivering services and smoother access for the processing of requests from the clienteles.

Minister Yacob expressed his appreciation to ARIAZ for manifesting its interest to help the ministry ensure the availability of the equipment. He then requested the partner supplier to deliver the said equipment as soon as possible, not exceeding a month so they can be of immediate use. The MAFAR Chief also thanked the members of the Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) for their hardwork in accomplishing the required procurement processes.

As a response, the proprietor and manager of ARIAZ Mr. Al Brinji B. Mali committed to comply with his responsibilities as supplier. He promised that after the lockdown in Davao City and their access is already opened, they will deliver the gadgets. He also assured the ministry of his 100% commitment to help the office in upholding quality services for its clienteles.
