MAFAR construct P1.99-M small scale Halal Feedmill in Maguindanao

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform strengthened Halal Promotion Compliance by constructing worth P1.99-M small scale halal Feedmill in Barangay Muti, Guindulungan, Maguindanao, following the groundbreaking ceremony of the project led by the chief of Engineering Section Engr. Ashnairah A. Abdullah.

On June 1, Engr. Saidona Lawan, Senior Agriculturist, Focal Person for MAFAR Halal Development Program, said the project aims to provide halal feeds to promote halal compliant poultry and fish production in the Bangsamoro Region.

“We proposed this project to ensure that we can provide and maintain halal compliant products starting from farm to plate,” Engr. Lawan said.

Datu Harabas Midtimbang, the Municipal Administrator of Guindulungan, expressed his gratitude to the MAFAR for the continued program in their area, especially the halal development program.

“This is a big help to us to have a Halal Feedmill Project that we can ride in with our vision to be an Islamic Center municipality.

The Halal Feedmill building has 150 square meters, capable of storing 500-600 sacks of feeds. It is expected to be completed in 108 Calendar Days and turned over to the Sisiman Agriculture Cooperative. In addition, the MAFAR officials already turned over the feed mill machine to the beneficiary last April 28 of this year.
