MAFAR, DCM CONSTRUCTION SIGN CONTACT OF AGREEMENT
For the implementation of ₱1.8 million worth infrastructure project for the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Marawi City, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) signed a contract of agreement with its service provider DCM Construction, yesterday in Cotabato City.
The establishment of multipurpose building and warehouse will benefit about 2,250 farmers in five target villages (barangay) of the city which are Cabasaran, Dulay Proper, Dulay West, Guimba and Malimono. It is part of the ongoing support of the ministry in rebuilding and improving the lives of the ARBs of the Malimono Dulay Agrarian Reform Community (ARC) in Marawi City.
Covering 13 barangays with a total agricultural area of 2,017 hectares and 749 ARBs, the ARC has been providing agricultural products to the major commercial districts of Marawi City.
Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, who signed the contract for MAFAR, expressed his optimism that the project will help rebuild a better Marawi with a resilient ARC and empowered ARBs.
Engr. Rayhan Rangiris, with a Special Power of Attorney, signed the contract on behalf of Almera Macabando, CEO of DCM Construction.
