MAFAR employees train on fisheries machinery operation, maintenance

TAWI-TAWI – To capacitate the employees on the research operation and maintenance, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform conducted training on fisheries, machinery operation, and maintenance at Regional Fisheries Research Center, Barangay Pangasinan, Municipality of Bongao.

On May 21, the training was participated by the Regional Engineering Section headed by Engr. Ashnairah A. Abdullah and the Regional Fisheries Research Center operators, maintenance, and staff led by Nursaif Maulana.

“I believe this training will help us understand and learn more about the fisheries machinery background. It will also help us improve our designs in the future.” Engr. Abdullah said.

During the training, Concepcion T. Coring, Faculty, College of Fisheries, MSU Tawi-Tawi, and Abduraji S. Tahil, Ph.D., consultant of FinFish Hatchery, discussed the research center’s facilities, equipment, and its functions to the participants.

In his closing message, Engr. Abdulhaq B. Gayak commended the resource speaker on imparting their knowledge to the participants.

He also encouraged the participants to work hard for the betterment of the Regional Fishery Research Center and the Bangsamoro Region.
