MAFAR engineers trains on building analysis, preparation of detailed engineering design, program of works

More than thirty engineers from regional and provincial offices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) underwent training on building analysis, preparation of detailed engineering design, and program of works led by Chief of Engineering Section Engr. Ashnairah A. Abdullah held on July 19-22, 2022, at the Golden Lace Resto, Macapagal Street, Cotabato City.

 The activity aims to capacitate MAFAR engineers in analyzing Building Design and proper programming of works and expedite the Ministry’s infrastructure project proposal and implementation.

“We in the engineering section of MAFAR seek to help Bangsamoro farmers, fisherfolk, and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries by building durable and good quality infra projects to support their Agriculture productivity,” said Engr. Abdullah in her opening remarks.

Meanwhile, Bangsamoro Director General for Agriculture Services Dr. Daud K. Lagasi commended the Engineering Section on their initiative in conducting such training.

“This training is essential to us in MAFAR and the whole Bangsamoro region because these are the basic requirements to approve our plans and proposals for the infrastructure development in MAFAR,” Dr. Lagasi said.

The training discussed the Importance and Consideration of Detailed Engineering, Building Analysis, and Preparation of Project Cost Estimates. After the discussion, an actual site inspection was also conducted.

Moreover, Engr. Mohammad Saud Alon, Engr. Borhana U. Frog, Engr. Razul D. Kundo, Engr. Arip Mohammad A. Chua and Engr. Ian-Al Rida N. Datumanong serve as a resource speakers during the activity.
