MAFAR-FishCORAL conducts Strategic Planning and Workshop for 2021 Project Implementation

FishCORAL of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform conducted Strategic Planning and Workshop for 2021 Project Implementation held at Bai Resort and Restaurant, Glan, Sarangani last March 26-29, 2021.

The activity aimed to; [1] create catch-up plans and strategies for 2021 implementation, and [2] discuss the status of the implemented projects.

Ms. Arphia Ebus, the focal person of FishCORAL MAFAR, as well as the MAFAR Chief of Staff, and Mr. Pendatun S. Patarasa, the Assistant to the Minister for Special Concerns were present in the activity.

In her speech, Ms. Ebus emphasized the remaining time frame of the Project. She challenged everyone to fast-track the 2021 implementation so that by October this year all projects intended for all target communities should already be implemented.

On the other hand, Mr. Patarasa thanked the Project for filling up the gaps of MAFAR especially in the fisheries services by providing quality services to the marginalized fisherfolks in four target provinces. He also asked for the commitment of everyone to implement the ‘Q&Q’ (quality and quantity) of the projects.

Meanwhile, Ms. Jeshia S. Serdoncillo, CRMO, and Ms. Sandra P. Gani, LEDO presented their work plans. Issues and concerns were also discussed during their presentation.

The two-day activity concluded through a closing message of Ms. Honey Lou Marcelo, the Regional Project Coordinator.
