MAFAR IMPROVES THE COMPETENCE OF ITS ENGINEERS

Eight engineers of the MAFAR including one from a partner construction firm were trained on preparation of feasibility study, detailed engineering design, and program of works in agriculture infrastructure on September 22-24, 2020 held at the MAFAR-Maguindanao Conference Room, BGC, Cotabato City.
The three-day training was spearheaded by the Engineering Section led by Abdulhaq B. Gayak and was funded from the Bangsamoro Appropriations Act (BAA) 2020.
In its closing program today, Engr. Saiden S. Abdul and Engr. Saidona A. Lawan shared their reflections of the training. They said they have learned so much from the significant lectures that further honed their skills especially in designing and preparation of feasibility studies and program of works that are all crucial in effective planning and implementation of agricultural projects.

Minister Mohammad S. Yacob inspired the trainees and motivated them to do more and be more. He thanked Mohammad Saud A. Alon from the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) for serving as the resource speaker of the training in its whole duration.
After congratulating the participants, he said the improvement of their knowledge and skills shall start and can be tested in the actual implementation and practice of their learning from the training.

He then encouraged everyone to be creative, and strengthen their strategies to become more effective in their chosen field to help boost the productivity of the clienteles (farmers and fisherfolk) of the ministry.
The other participants of the training were Engineers Fahmi U. Acob, Noraine S. Dumasil, Mohaimin L. Ali, Johnson A. Paglala, Shuwaib E. Saluwang, and Halid-Ambia S. Unggel.
