MAFAR Lanao Orients New ARPTs

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform Lanao del Sur Provincial Office hosts the 1st Orientation Seminar for new Agrarian Reform Program Technologists (ARPT)at Marawi City last May 4, 2021.

The orientation is conducted to abreast the new entrants of MAFAR Programs, Activities, and Projects and make them effective agents in delivering public service to the community.

Chief Legal Johayra C. Ysmael discusses the necessities of understanding public service and mainly on what to do and what not to do. She further explains the role of the Legal section with its related programs and activities. At the same time, Baisanie P. Unda, Chief of Admin and Finance, presented the general description of the said position, including the complementary functions and responsibilities of the admin and finance in support of operations.

Meanwhile, Director Atty. Khalid D. Ansano said, “Do not focus on Agrarian Reform alone, but you need to immerse yourself with all the programs of the agency to be more efficient and effective.”

As to technical aspects, Chief Agriculturist Engr Abdul Gaphar L. Sansarona presents the banner programs of agriculture services while Supervising Aquaculturist Muhammad Yusoph L. Watamama for fisheries sector.

On Agrarian Reform, CARPO Rocaina A. Mindalano orients the ARPTs on the goals and objectives of the program technicalities of being an ARPT as a frontliner of Agrarian Reform services in the community focus on the 33-year CARP status in Lanao del Sur and challenges in its implementation.

“Many may be intelligent, but apart from the brain, what we need in AR are individuals na may puso para sa mga agrarian reform beneficiaries,” says CARPO Mindalano.

As manifestation of solid commitment and support to MAFAR, the MAFAR Municipal officers of the 39 municipalities and City of Marawi join the said orientation seminar to acquaint themselves with their respective ARPTs.
