GEO-TAGGING of MAFAR Conducts in Barangay Langkong, Matanog, Maguindanao

MATANOG, MAGUINDANAO | February 17, 2021

To conduct geo-tagging, OIC-MAFAR-Municipal Officer Norosalam Salim assisted BARMMIARC Research Associates staff Abdulsalam D. Sulaiman and MAFAR-Maguindanao Provincial Staff Rabani Ampa at Barangay Langkong, Matanog, Maguindanao on Monday , February 15, 2021.

According to MMO Salim, geo referencing was imparted and learned by the Rice farmer Salman Manabilang that day.

Additionally, a total of 16 lowland rice farmers of Barangay Sapad in the municipality attended a meeting conducted by MMO Salim at Cabugao Sapad on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. The said meeting aimed to orient farmers on geo-referencing as well as to organize them as rice farmers organization.

As a result of the meeting, the newly organized rice farmers was named as Sapad Lowland Rice Farmers Association and to be registered to MOLE-BARMM.

Farmers were able to elect also their officers. Later in the afternoon, farmers proceed to their respective areas and measured their own rice field .
