MAFAR, MIPA, AFP CONVERGE TO EMPOWER IP FARMING COMMUNITY IN HILL 224

With the convergence of the MAFAR, MIPA, and the AFP, the Mamalu Indigenous People (IP) community in Hill 224, Barangay Kabingi, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao, has finally received various agricultural assistance for the first time today (July 2, 2020).

The MAFAR delivered and distributed 750 bags of urea fertilizers, 150 bags of hybrid corn seeds, 600 bottles of pesticides, 1000 packs of assorted vegetable seeds, 8 heads of carabao, 8 heads of cattle, and the ministry has also turned over a unit of farm tractor with complete implements for the farming community through the Mamalu Descendant Ancestral Domain Producers Cooperative.

The hopeful community yelled “Muyag (Long Live)!” as they heard inspiring words from Minister Dr Mohammad S. Yacob of the MAFAR, Minister Melanio U. Ulama of the MIPA, and the guest of honor Lt. General Cirilito E. Sobejana of the Western Mindanao Command.
