MAFAR, MTIT spearheads Agri-Trade Fair in Shariff Kabunsuan Celebration

As part of commemorating the celebration of the 500 years of the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival, The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform, through its MAFARLENGKE program in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade Investment and Tourism and other ministries, led the opening of the Agri-Trade Fair 2022 at Cotabato City Plaza.

On December 15, The Ribbon Cutting signifies the official opening of the Agri-Trade Fair, showcasing the display of different Agri products, including processed and fresh foods featured from provinces of the BARMM Region.

One of the highlights was the MAFARLENGKE sa Shariff Kabunsuan Festival featuring products produced by cooperative associations from Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

MTIT Minister Abuamri A. Taddik, in his opening remarks, he warmly welcomes all the guests and participants in the event he is

blessed and honored to have them.

He emphasizes that the activity aims to showcase the products of the Bangsamoro; he also commends all the partner ministries for the making of the activity.

BARMM Senior Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua encourages all to give tribute and acknowledge the importance of culture; without culture, we have no identity, and culture is one of the veins of the celebration of the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival.

He also believed that the activity overcame the challenges and uplifted the living condition of every Bangsamoro.

Cotabato City Mayor Hon. Mohammad Ali D. Matabalao expressed his gratitude for the successful making of the activity and encouraged all to patronize the Bangsamoro product.

MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph. D, said, “This activity is one of the historical ones and first of its kind because the BARMM Government and the LGU Cotabato City have joined together to make this activity successful.”

 “I hope and look forward that this activity will continue and sustain in the incoming celebration,” he emphasized.

Former Congresswoman Bai Sandra S. Sema expressed her support for the activity and said, “I am glad that the City government and the BARMM Government merged their effort for this momentous activity.”

“Let today be the start of the united participation of the city government and the BARMM government. May this be the beginning of a new generation of Moro that will be educated and have this kind of culture that continues to conquer the world,” she added.

The Agri-Trade Fair will last from December 15-21, 2022, and opens every day from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
