MAFAR PARTICIPATES IN THE MINDANAO LAUNCH OF THE PPAN 2023-2028
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform Chief of Staff Arphia T. Ebus, JD participated in the Mindanao Launch of the PPAN 2023-2028.
On Wednesday, September 13, the National Nutrition Council Assistant Secretary and Executive Director IV Azucena M. Dayanghirang, MD, MCH, CESO III, led the activity at Davao City.
The event aims to convene various nutrition stakeholders at the national and local levels to impart and identify their respective roles and contributions to achieving the PPAN goals and targets and its implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
The Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN), being the country’s overall framework for nutrition action, provides directions and priority actions to address all forms of malnutrition in the Philippines, particularly
stunting and wasting, overweight and obesity, and micronutrient deficiencies.
It serves as a guide for various stakeholders from the national government agencies (NGAs), non-government organizations (NGOs), development partners, academe, private sectors, and local government units (LGUs).
