MAFAR-PRDP, MLGU Lumba-Bayabao marks the beginning of 3.03km FMR

LANAO DEL SUR – The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform-Philippine Rural Development Project, in collaboration with the Municipal Local Government Unit of Lumba-Bayabao, marks the beginning of a new Farm-to-Market Road following the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Concreting of Barangay Barit-Barangay Carandangan FMR on May 18 at Barangay Barit, Lumba-Bayabao.

Engr. Michael K. Anggol, an I-BUILD specialist, said the project is worth P49,246,000.07, spans 3.03 kilometers, and links the Barangays Barit and Carandangan in the Municipality of Lumba-Bayabao.

“This project is funded by the World Bank with an EU Co-financing grant and expected to be complete within 225 calendar days,” said Engr. Anggol.

Two hundred forty (240) target households and 226 farmers would gain from the project’s completion, setting the path for improved rural connection and agricultural development.

Ammal D. Solaiman, JD, the Deputy Project Director for RPCO-BARMM, expressed her gratitude to Lumba-Bayabao LGU for availing PRDP projects and emphasized that PRDP cannot carry out its mission without the support of its LGUs.

The municipal Mayor of Lumba-Bayabao, Hon. Mahar Pandapatan Dagalangit, assures to monitor the implementation of the project closely and is committed to availing many Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) projects to provide farmers with improved access to the market, enabling them to thrive and contribute to the local economy.
