Distribution of cassava stalks to farmers in the municipality of mapun-tawi tawi

MAPUN, TAWI-TAWI | February 18, 2021

In coordination and support of the Hon. Mayor Suraida Muksin of the Municipality of Mapun, Tawi-Tawi, MAFAR Tawi-Tawi with the supervision of its Provincial Director, Aidarus I. Nami, EdD and through the facilitation of extended MAO Mr. Al-Rasid A. Abdul and MAFAR volunteer Mr. Faljer Insam distributed quality cassava stalks to the identified and selected farmers of the Municipality of Mapun, Tawi-Tawi on February 18, 2021.

The said cassava stalks that were sent from Bongao, Tawi-Tawi via wooden boat/ship or “lansa” were distributed by the OIC Mayor Omar Mukhtar Abdulpatta and ABC President Julian Lim and were received by the concerned Barangay Chairmen/Officials for distribution to the farmers in their areas.

Among other things, the distribution in this far flung municipality of Mapun aimed at helping the people especially the farmers in sustaining their livelihood thereby ensuring food availability/security and economic growth for all.
