Oath-Taking of 128 Newly-Appointed MAFAR Employees, Pledged to Moral Governance

COTABATO CITY | April 8, 2021

Successive hiring of the workforce of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MAFAR-BARMM) successfully organized the 2nd Mass Oath Taking ceremony and Orientation of the newly hired employees region-wide, held at South Seas Convention Hall, Cotabato City, April 8, 2021.

MAFAR Minister Mohammad S. Yacob administered the oath of office via zoom of one hundred twenty-eight (128) newly hired employees for its regional office and across the BARMM five provinces.

“It is my privilege and officially welcoming you all to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform. This is a historical moment to all of us,” Minister said.

Through our selection board, We select according to our expectation that all of you are committed and will deliver quality services to our Bangsamoro farmers, fisherfolks, and Agrarian Reform beneficiaries,” he added.

“I want to remind the newly appointed that you are hired as a member of the bureaucracy of the ministry. This opportunity is not for all but a responsibility that you accepted. Now, you should utilize your responsibilities according to your abilities, capacity, and skill to improve the life of the Bangsamoro,” Minister emphasized.

Meanwhile, Bangsamoro Mufti Abu Huraira Udasan facilitated the new officials’ pledge of ‘moral governance’ for the newly appointed.
“Moral governance is defined by many researchers as a set of rules and practices completely devoid of all evils of graft and corruption and explicitly driven by the moral principles of utmost dedication, devotion, honesty, justice, and integrity,” Udasan said.

“Our basis in implementing the moral governance is the glorious Qur’an and the sunnah of the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) as the basic guidelines for our leaders,” Udasan said.

Present during the ceremony were MAFAR Deputy Minister Ammal Solaiman, Director Julie Maliga, Director Ismail Guiamel, Director Taugan Kikay, Provincial Director Ronjamin Maulana, Provincial Director Hanie Junuban, other key officials, and new employees who attended via zoom.
