PRDP-BARMM CONDUCTS TRAINING WORKSHOP ON EOM FOR PROPONENT GROUPS
The I-REAP Component of the Philippine Rural Development Project in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRDP-BARMM) conducted a Training Workshop on Enterprise Operations Manual (EOM) for seaweed farmer-beneficiaries and LGU officials in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on November 27-30, 2019.
The activity was spearheaded by Sammy Ayub, Business Development Officer and Badrudin Esmael, I-REAP Component Head with training participants coming from the municipalities of Sibutu, Sitangakai, South Ubian, Tandubas, and Panglima Tahil.
Sulpicio E. Untal, Jr., Enterprise Development and Marketing Specialist (EDMS) and Jonalyn P. Almodiente, Business Development Officer (BDO) of PRDP-Project Support Office served as the resource speakers of the training-workshop.
Untal said the four-day activity, packed with very informative topics and interactive discussions, has set the minds of the participants, especially the seaweeds farmers, in the realm of business enterprise especially in crafting their respective operations manual which is very crucial in the course of their enterprise engagement for the success of their businesses.
The training was primarily focused on the proper filling out of the proponent groups’ profiles as an input to their Enterprise Operations Manual (EOM) that will be formulated and finalized upon review and validation of the PRDP-Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) and subject to the approval of PRDP-Project Support Office (PSO). When finalized, the EOM shall serve as reference point of the proponent groups in their operations.
Meanwhile, a follow through training on Business Process Review (BPR) shall be conducted in 2020 as part of the capability building measures of PRDP.
