PRDP-BARMM PARTICIPATES IN RETOOLING FOR BDOs

Three of the technical staff of the MAFAR-BARMM’s Philippine Rural Development Program (PRDP) under I-REAP Component participated in the recently conducted Retooling for Business Development Officers (BDOs) on the Preparation of Business Plans held at the Eden Park and Resort, Toril, Davao City.

Headed by I-REAP Component Head Badrudin Esmael, the team from MAFAR also included Business Development Officers Celso Limas, Michael Ian Sastrillo, and Sammy Ayub.

The retooling activity was spearheaded by the PRDP-Project Support Office (PSO) with an end in view of capacitating and updating the BDOs on the new modalities in business plan preparation. The updated business plan is more simplified yet it still conforms to the standards of the World Bank.

During the workshop, the PRDP-BARMM group worked out on the preparation of business plan for the project called “Goat Multiplication, Fattening, and Marketing Enterprise”.

Under this project proposal, the beneficiaries or proponent groups are expected to gain income from selling goats produced from breeding and fattening.

PRDP Deputy Project Director (DPD) Keise T. Usman, Al-Haj had mentioned to the PRDP-Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO-BARMM) that Malaysia was looking for a big supplier of goat during the Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines – East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) meeting. Director Usman has envisioned the Province of Maguindanao as a huge supplier of goat to Malaysia and other neighboring countries in the future.
