PRDP-BARMM’s IREAP COMPONENT SPEARHEADS REVIEW OF BUSINESS PLANS
COTABATO CITY – The I-REAP Component of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) in the Bangsamoro Region conducted an initial review of the business plans/project proposals of different Proponent Groups (PGs) in the province of Maguindanao on May 20, 2020 held at the MAFAR-BARMM office in the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City.
Out of the eleven (11) business plans or project proposals from the Province of Maguindanao specifically on Goat Multiplication, Fattening, and Marketing, four were recommended to proceed as the remaining seven lack some necessary requirements. This is based on the result of the initial assessment of the PGs by the PRDP Project Support Office (PSO).
The initial review was participated in by the other project components I-BUILD, Monitoring and Evaluation, and the Social Environment Safeguards.
After the packaging of the business plans, incorporating all the suggestions and recommendations raised during the initial review, the proposals shall then be submitted to the PSO for their review and final instructions.
The province of Maguindanao now has five (5) existing and on-going subprojects on “Goat Multiplication, Fattening and Marketing” in the municipalities of Buluan, Gen. Salipada K. Pendatun, Sultan Sa Barongis, Rajah Buayan, and Mangudadatu.
The newly submitted business plans are from the municipalities of Gen. Salipada K. Pendatun, Ampatuan, Guindulungan, and Datu Paglas.
If approved, the number of subprojects in Maguindanao will increase to nine and shall all cater the high demand for goat in the Bangsamoro Region.
