SECOND BATCH OF CATTLE FEEDLOT FATTENING PROJECT AWARDED TO A COOPERATIVE BENEFICIARY

The Making Business Marketing Cooperative received the second batch of Cattle Feedlot Fattening Project from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform.

The ceremonial turnover was held at Barangay Tabuan, Kapatagan, Lanao del Sur, on August 20, 2021.

Amounting to Php 4 Million was funded by the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Animal Industry under National Livestock Program’s Bayanihan Act II and implemented by the MAFAR Livestock and Poultry Management Section.

The second batch project is comprised of Eighty (80) heads of Cattle, (80) packages of Veterinary Drugs, four hundred eighty (480) bags of Cattle Concentrate feed, and farm implements.

MAFAR Regional Chief of Operations Tong A. Abas said the distribution of the project aimed to boost the knowledge and skills of the farmer-beneficiary in engaging farm animals as a source of their income.

Abas encourages the beneficiaries to manage the animals; thus, it will serve them as their starting capital to increase their economic status.

Moreover, Cooperative President Shuiab Adam said, “This project provides as a starting tool, and we thank the office of MAFAR, especially to Minister Yacob.

“Napakalaki po ng maitutulong nito sa amin,” Adam added.

In addition, the activity was attended by Regional Livestock Program Coordinator Seeham S. Pangol, Program Assistant Murad Maulana, representing Maguindanao Provincial Director Dr. Ronjamin M. Maulana, MAFAR staff, Chairman and members of the Political Committee in Iranon Province.
