SECOND BATCH OF SUREAIDE CASH LOAN FOR THE 63 BARANGAYS RELEASES IN CARMEN

Ninety-seven (97) farmer beneficiaries from the targeted barangays in Aleosan, Pigcawayan, Midsayap, Carmen and Pikit under the 63 barangays of BARMM Region, released their SUREAIDE Cash loans during the second batch distribution held at the office of CARD MPC in Brgy. Sitio Lanitap, General Luna, Carmen, North Cotabato on January 12, 2021.

According to SUREAID Regional Focal Person Engr. Noraine Dumasil, the said cash loans released through MAFAR with the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) and the conduit cooperative lender namely the Carmen Agricultural Research Development (CARD).

Dumasil also said that each farmer beneficiaries received Php. 25,000.00 cash loans with zero-percent (0%) interest with no collateral policy and paid for ten years. The ninety-seven (97) farmer beneficiaries were the second and final batch of the recipient of the cash loans from the 177 target farmers under the 63 barangays.

MAFAR Minister Dr. Mohammad S. Yacob has personally led the distribution. In his message, he reminded every beneficiary to value the cash assistance and use it for a significant purpose. MAFAR Chief said that the main objective of the cash loans is for the capital purpose of the farmers. “This cash assistance will serve as your started capital for your farm, this will help you also to challenge yourselves to grow your farm using the Php. 25,000.00, the success of this loans will depend on you as the farmer beneficiaries.” Minister Yacob emphasized.

Gen. Luna Brgy. Chairman Hon. Gil Dondonayos on behalf of Carmen Mayor Hon. Moses Arindain, thanked the ministry and the partner agencies for helping the farmers grow and increase their economic status.

Other key officials who extended effort were Director II for Agriculture Services Engr. Ismail A. Guiamel, Director II for Fisheries Sector and 63 barangays focal person Dr. Macmod Mamalangkap, AMAD Chief Dr. Tong Pinguiaman, HVCDP Focal Person Ramil M. Timpolok, ACPC Representative Farah Peñas, CARD MPC Manager Nasser M. Ali, and other leading officials from MAFAR and partner agencies.
