SIX BATCHES OF GPP TRAINING FOR TEACHERS CONCLUDE IN SULU PROVINCE
In support to the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP), six batches of Vegetable Training program under HVCDP culminated in Sulu Province. These training courses were conducted by the MAFAR in partnership with MBHTE all of BARMM. The culmination program was hosted by MAFAR-Sulu Provincial Director Mercyan Aspi held on March 2, 2020.
Thirty school teachers, serving as GPP focal person, from 30 elementary and high schools in Sulu Province attended and completed the training as targeted by MAFAR under 2019 HVCDP banner program.
“I am happy that in just two weeks, we were able to finish the six batches of training, the orientation programs and distribution of garden tools, assorted vegetable seeds, and IEC materials to 250 participants”, said Dr Jalika D. Mangacop, HVCDP Focal Person.
The series of activities was the realization of the MOA stipulations signed between Minister Dr Mohammad S. Yacob of MAFAR and Minister Mohagher Iqbal of MBHTE on December 10, 2019.
The team from MAFAR composed of resource speakers & facilitators, were Dr Mangacop, Dr Kadiguia R. Abdullah, Information Officer, Albaya S. Sagad, Organic Agriculture Focal Person, Bai Sittie Asmairah A. Dumato, RAFID Volunteer, Rasul L. Paguital, Camera Man, and from MBHTE were Vivian Ella Sales, Dorham, and Alioden Ali.
