The ministry’s Halal Program through Regional Coordinator Engr. Saidona A. Lawan successfully trained the second batch of participants in the training entitled “Seminar on Philippine National Standard on Halal, Halal Certification and Agri-Fishery Good Practices.’

The seminar conducted on December 22-23, 2020 at Safe Haven Catering Services, Cotabato City with almost 50 farmer-participants, who came in the Province of Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato and three municipalities from the Province of Maguindanao.

“We in the Bangsamoro Region, must be the first implementer of this program. I am encouraging all of you to please immediately implement and sustain whatever resources you have.’ Minister Mohammad S. Yacob emhasized.

Generally, the training covers with sharing of knowledge and information regarding the importance and substantial element of the halal. The lectures were shared by the skillful resource speakers such as Ustadz Norodin Ebrahim from Office of the Bangsamoro Mufti, Dr. Norodin Kuit, the Consultant for HPMO and Regional Halal Coordinator Engr. Lawan.
