TRAINING ON FREE RANGE CHICKEN CONDUCTED IN THREE (3) MUNICIPALITIES OF MAGUINDANAO

The Training of Senior Citizen on Cultural Management of Halal Compliant Free Range Chicken Production Technology conducted by Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform through the Halal and Livestock Banner program in partnership with Bangsamoro Development Academy successfully trained more than seventy participants from senior citizen and youth sector in the three (3) Municipalities of Maguindanao specifically Municipality of Barira, Datu Odin Sinsuat, and Datu Montawal on March 9-11,2021.

The training was facilitated by the resource speaker on Livestock and Poultry Management Focal Person Armanzor M. Sagandingan and the Chief of Halal Program and Development Engr. Saidona A. Lawan.
The MAFAR officials presented topics on Prospects of Free-Range Native Chicken Industry in the Philippines; Different breeds of Free-Range Native Chicken; Free-Range Native Chicken Production Technologies and Practices; Economics of Free-Range Native Chicken; Halal Certification and MAFAR-BARMM Halal Program. The trainees also observed the actual Feed Formulation for the Free-range Chicken.The three-day training is funded thru Mindanao Trust Fund Project which focuses on presenting new technology and management application to the participants.

At the end of the training, the participants expressed their appreciation to the officials who made the training possible which gave additional knowledge and will guide them in engaging free-range chicken
