YJM FARM IN AMPATUAN, NOW CERTIFIED LSA BY ATI-RTC 12
The YJM Farm is now the fifth Learning Site for Agriculture in Maguindanao after having been certified by the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC)-12 and it paved the way for the launching of the integrated and diversified farm as training site located in Saniag, Ampatuan today, November 24, 2020.
Officially declared by ATI-RTC 12 Center Director Abdul I. Dayaan as LSA, the Yamashita Jalika Mangacop (YJM) Farm is an established, well-managed, and progressing 25-hectare agricultural production area owned by Yamashita B. Mangacop, the Regional President of the Pambansang Mannalon, Mag-uuma, Mangangawid, Magsasaka ng Pilipinas (P4MP).
The farm is being harmoniously maintained by Maguindanaon and IP farmers and it showcases different crops like fruits, vegetables, dragon fruit, ornamentals, livestock and poultry such as goats, chickens, ducks, and turkeys.
In support to the journey of the YJM farm as a certified LSA, the activity was participated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) and the Local Government Unit (LGU).
Some of the officials from the MAFAR who attended the launching program were MAFAR-Maguindanao newly-appointed Provincial Director Dr Ronjamin M. Maulana, MAFAR-BARMM Corn and Cassava Focal Person Akmad A. Abdullah, Consultant for Agricultural Concerns Dr Jalika D. Mangacop, Al-Hadja, Consultant for Information and Extension Dr Kadiguia R. Abdullah, Al-Hadja, Ampatuan MAFAR Municipal Officer (MMO) Salama A. Utto, Mamasapano MMO Dr Modrika A. Masukat, Datu Abdullah Sangki MMO Benjamin B. Batabol, and Sultan sa Barongis MMO Mohammad M. Angeles.
