ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR β To continue support to the former combatants, one multi-purpose building with a solar dryer was formally handed over to the One Thirteen Agri-Business and Merchandising Agriculture Cooperative, in Barangay Buyugan West, Kumalarang, on April 16.
The turnover ceremony was led by the MAFAR-SDF Program in collaboration with the Project Management Office and witnessed by local government units of Kumalarang.
Funded through the Special Development Fund (SDF) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform, this project aims to uplift farmers and fisherfolks, providing essential support to enhance their livelihoods.
MAFAR-SDF Program Officer for Operation and Coordination Roslainie Mamalaguia said, “This project is a testament to our commitment to address the needs of our farmers and fishermen.”
Mamalaguia stressed that the ministry envisions its transformative impact, bringing tangible benefits to the members of our cooperative and the entire community.
Meanwhile, Engr. Bernie Taula, representing the SDF Project Management Office, highlighted the project’s special allocation for the former combatants and conflict-affected areas, underscoring the commitment to inclusivity in development efforts.
Moreover, Suaib Edris, Chairman of the One Thirteen Agri-Business and Merchandising Agriculture Cooperative, expressed profound gratitude to the Bangsamoro government and MAFAR for their steadfast support, recognizing the pivotal role in uplifting their livelihoods.
