Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform, received two awards, the Honoris Causa as Doctor of Science in Agriculture and received an award as World-Class Public Servant of the Year.
The 7th Asian University International Doctoral Conferment and Awards was held at Pasay City, Manila, on March 2, with this year’s theme, “Achievement Unveiled: Pioneering Paths on Knowledge and Leadership.”
Minister Yacob’s Honoris Causa, Doctor of Agriculture, is awarded by the council of the Global Excellence Award 2024, wherein at least 23 individuals around the Philippines received different honorary degrees in line with their outstanding achievements in their fields and exemplary service to their people.
This award acknowledges his efforts in promoting sustainable farming practices, improving food security, and supporting the well-being of farmers and fisherfolk.
After the honoris causa, it was followed by the World-Class Public Servant of the Year awarding in which Minister Yacob was named World-Class Public Servant of the Year at the World-Class Excellence Awards 2024 that underline his impactful leadership in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform.
This prestigious recognition celebrates his outstanding contributions to public service, highlighting his commitment to excellence, innovation, and hard work.
The two awards not only acknowledge his achievements but also reflect the positive changes and development witnessed in the BARMM region under his guidance.
