The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform’s commitment to enhancing agricultural and rural development in the Bangsamoro region reached new heights with the recent Mainstreaming of the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Tools and Innovations cum Workshop on Business Preparation held at the Pagana Kutawato Restaurant, Cotabato City, on April 16-18, 2024.
Led by the Chief of Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), Datu Hamsur J. Zaid, the mainstreaming activity aims to raise awareness among key officials on the PRDP tools and innovations as a significant step towards integrating PRDP tools and strategies into MAFAR’s regular programs.
With a focus on enhancing market development in the region, the Business Preparation Workshop aims to provide practical training in crafting operational manuals and proposal-making.
In his message, Director General for Fisheries Services Pendatun S. Patarasa expressed enthusiastic support for adopting PRDP tools, citing their proven effectiveness in streamlining processes and enhancing productivity.
“We have to adopt this because it has already been proven and tested that at the end of the day, this will help us work effectively and efficiently in our every job,” said DG Patarasa.
The workshop witnessed active participation from MAFAR Municipal Officers, who serve as the ministry’s frontline officers, reflecting a collective commitment to advancing agricultural practices and uplifting rural communities across the Bangsamoro region.
With MAFAR’s steadfast dedication and the integration of PRDP tools and innovations, the future of agriculture and fisheries in the Bangsamoro region promises sustainable development and prosperity for future generations.
