In a significant move to bolster agricultural productivity and uplift rural communities, the Special Development Fund of MAFAR (MAFAR-SDF) has provided tractors and tools to selected qualified cooperatives in Maguindanao.
On May 22-24, the three-day activity aims to empower local farmers and producers by equipping them with essential resources to enhance production capabilities and improve livelihoods within their communities.
The beneficiaries of this initiative include the Makinugon Farmers Producers Cooperative of Barangay Labungan, DOS, Maguindanao; the Henco Marketing Cooperative of Barangay Tambunan II, Guindulungan, Maguindanao; the Decommissioned Agri Business Marketing Cooperative of Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao; and the Wal Workers Association of Barangay Tibuhol, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.
The mentioned cooperatives shared the same sentiments as they expressed their gratitude to MAFAR-SDF.
The President of Henco Marketing Cooperative, Mr. Johain I. Laba, said, “Malaking tulong po ito sa amin na mga kooperatiba lalong-lalo na po sa aming mga miyembro at sa buong komunidad namin. Ito ay maaaring maging dahilan ng pag-angat naming lahat at maaaring maging simula ng tagumpay ng bawat isa, kaya maraming maraming salamat po talaga sa MAFAR.”
SDF Program Officer, Roslainie Mamalaguia, MICB, RCA, MAPDS, expressed that by providing access to tractors and tools, MAFAR-SDF aims to optimize agricultural processes, increase yields, and stimulate socio-economic progress in Maguindanao. This investment underscores a commitment to rural development and economic empowerment, fostering self-reliance and sustainable growth in the region.
