The Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), Project Support Office Mindanao (PSO-Mindanao), Regional Project Coordination Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region and Muslim Mindanao (RPCO-BARMM), and the Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs) of Sulu and Tawi-Tawi gathered for a Joint Technical Review (JTR) on June 3-10 at Citi Inn, Hotel, Zamboanga City.
RPCO-BARMM I-BUILD Specialist Engr. Michael K. Anggol led the weeklong activity, which aimed to assess the proposed subprojects’ feasibility under the infrastructure component, ensuring all necessary documents were complete and aligned with PRDP guidelines and would bring tangible benefits to the communities they serve.
During the review process, the Municipal Mayor of Omar, Sulu, Hon. Abdulbaki J. Ajibon, together with the key officials from the Municipality of Siasi, Sulu, and Municipality of Tandubas Tawi-Tawi, worked closely with the technical specialists from the PSO-Mindanao and RPCO-BARMM to examined the documents of their proposed subprojects.
Among the subprojects reviewed are the Concreting of Brgy. Niangkaan Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) in Omar, Sulu, Concreting of Brgy. Sipanding to Brgy. Tubig Kutah FMR in Siasi, Sulu, and the Construction of Kepeng Trading Post in Tandubas, Tawi-Tawi.
Throughout the review, MLGUs received guidance and support from PSO and RPCO technical experts, emphasizing the importance of meeting regulatory requirements.
Engr. Anggol urged MLGUs to work closely with their Provincial Local Government Units (PLGUs) to facilitate efficient documentation processing.
In addition, Engr. Anggol expressed the PSO and RPCO’s commitment to assisting LGUs in navigating the necessary steps to approve and issue a No Objection Letter (NOL1) for their proposed projects.
