DAVAO CITY – The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform employees trained on Capacity Development for Division Focal and Report Officers on Monitoring and Evaluation Processes cum Crafting of the FY 2023-2024 Accomplishment Report Book on January 21-24.
The activity aims for the participants to gain a deeper understanding of the M&E framework, improve their reporting skills, and align their efforts with institutional goals It also includes crafting the FY 2023-2024 Accomplishment Report–a vital document that reflects the achievements, challenges, and lessons learned from various initiatives of the ministry.
The Policy, Planning, and Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PPMED) facilitated the activity and was led by Amador Tandalong, Planning Officer V.
Chief Tandalong said, “Our minister urged and supported us to push through this activity and I would like to have everyone cooperate and give what you could give in this activity.
He said this training will strengthen your skills in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), which is essential for tracking our progress, measuring impact, and ensuring that our initiatives achieve their intended goals.
“This capacity development activity will equip us with the tools and knowledge to improve reporting, make data-driven decisions, and contribute more effectively to our ministry’s success.
During the workshop, Sir Ever Abasolo, Resource Person conducted several workshops: context monitoring, progress monitoring and evaluation of the implementation, stocktaking of good practices, session of unlearning (identifying challenges/ gaps and lessons), and planning for 2025 and 2026.
Planning Officer III Mohammad Z. Dalpin thanked the different division focal, report officer, and M&E officer for their active participation and said “I hope this training equips you with valuable skills and enables you to contribute more effectively to achieving our shared goals.
