COTABATO CITY – The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform holds the 8th Mass Oath taking of 182 newly hired employees on January 31, 2024.
Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D. led the activity together with MAFAR officials, employees, and staff at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex.
Director II of AFMS Julie O. Maliga warmly welcomes the newest members of the MAFARmilya, knowing that they have earned their place through a fair and rigorous selection process.
She said as you begin your journey, remember that your role is a privilege and a responsibility—to serve the Bangsamoro people with integrity, competence, and dedication, always upholding the highest standards of governance and public service.
At least 58 from the region, 51 from Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur, 30 from Lanao del Sur, 5 from Sulu, 21 from Basilan, and 17 from Tawi-Tawi took the oath of Moral Governance solemnized by BDI- Islamic Jurist Dr. Muhammad Nadzir S. Ebil.
Moreover, Minister Yacob, Ph.D., administered the Oath of Office to solemnly swear that they will faithfully perform their duties and responsibilities.
He warmly welcomed and congratulated the newly hired employees to MAFARmilya. As you start working, you must put effort and commitment needed to serve the Bangsamoro people.
“With passion and determination, we will strive to understand their needs, listen to their voices, and work towards meaningful solutions that uplift their lives,” he said.
Minister added, “Let us make ourselves as someone who makes the Bangsamoro farmers, fisherfolks, and Agrarian Beneficiaries empowered.”
Director General for Fisheries Services Pendatun S. Patarasa also congratulated the new employees and said “Today marks a significant event for you as a public servant. You must serve the Bangsamoro people with utmost sincerity and dedication, upholding transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all aspects of your duty.”
He said remember, the Bangsamoro people have placed their trust in you, and it is your responsibility to meet their needs and address their concerns to improve their lives.
