TAYALAN – The Bangsamoro people in Maguindanao del Sur, received various forms of assistance as the different ministries, offices, and agencies of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) converged to deliver their services on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
The convergence program, held strategically at the Municipal Gymnasium of Talayan, was spearheaded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE), and Ministry of Public Orders and Safety (MPOS) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Maguindanao del Sur.
This program is part of the week-long celebration marking the 6th Bangsamoro Founding Anniversary, with the theme “Salamat, BARMM: Pagpupugay sa Anim na Taong Paglilingkod sa Bangsamoro.”
As part of the commemoration of this historic day, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform distributed land titles and various agri-fishery inputs to support the farmers, fisherfolk, and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries in the province.
Among the items distributed were 200 bags of hybrid corn seeds, 500 bottles of foliar fertilizer, 20 rolls of nets, 20 sets of freshwater gillnets, 10 cooler boxes, 5 insulated boxes with a 1000-liter capacity, 2 fish processing sets, as well as IEC distribution and dissemination.
In addition, MAFAR-Maguindanao also turnover Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) to 20 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries from Guindulungan and Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Maguindanao del Sur. The ministry also conducted a free Rabies Vaccination for cats, dogs, and other animals, and distributed free vegetable seeds, foliar fertilizers, and IEC materials.
The MAFAR distribution was led by MAFAR Deputy Minister Aisha D. Abdullah-Sanggacala, Ph.D., together with Bangsamoro Director General for Fisheries Services Pendatun S. Patarasa, Director Macmod Mamalangkap, Ph.D., MAFAR-Maguindanao Provincial Director Ronjamin M. Maulana, Ph.D., and Local Government Officials of Talayan, Maguindanao Del Sur.
“We are gathered here for this convergence program brought by the various Ministries of BARMM, led by MAFAR, MOLE, MPOS, and the LGU. This is a testament to our shared vision of promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life for all the residents of BARMM,” DM Abdullah-Sanggacala said.
Additional services were also provided by various ministries, offices, and agencies (MOs), featuring a range of initiatives such as Jobs Fair and Recruitment Assistant, License to Own and Possess Firearms, Vaccination for pneumonia and flu, Pre-registration Seminar ( PRS ) and Orientation on Social Enterprise, BAA and CABB- Awareness Campaign: Strategic Information Dissemination Initiative, Kupkop Program Releasing of Monthly Subsidy, Registration of Rural Workers Association.
Over the past six years, BARMM has made remarkable strides and introduced transformative changes to the region. Today’s celebration showcased these accomplishments and reaffirmed the commitment to fostering a better, more progressive, and peaceful community for all Bangsamoro.
