MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR – Special Development Fund of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian officially broke ground for the construction of Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) project at Barangay Pikeg, Shariff Saydona Mustapha.
On August 8, MAFAR-SDF Program Officer Roslainie A. Mamalaguia, MAPDS together with SDF Engineers, SDF Project Management Office, and constructors led the groundbreaking activities for the concreting of the 3.180 kilometers that will serve the farmers in the said barangay.
In an interview, SDF Program Officer Mamalaguia said that the construction of FMR will improve the living conditions of the farmers and residents especially in this conflict affected area since they will have access to essential services and markets.
She said this road be useful to reconnect isolated communities, facilitating the movement of goods and boosting local economies. By improving infrastructure, we can support recovery and contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.
