The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform- Special Development Fund turned over infrastructure and inputs to boost agri-fishery regional productivity.
This project aims to uplift farmers and fisherfolks, providing essential support to enhance their livelihoods.
MAFAR Chief of Staff, Arphia T. Ebus, Sh. C said the Bangsamoro farmers, fisherfolk, and ARBs are the main priority of this project since these projects will help them in their day-to-day activities on the ground.
She said the ministry will always be by their side in giving more projects such as infra and inputs. In return, the beneficiaries will be responsible for the facility and provide value to it.
“The ministry is thankful to all the people involved in this project, such as the LGU and beneficiaries. I’ll make sure that the Ministry will support the beneficiaries and grant more projects for economic development,” COS Ebus said.
The Makinugon Farmers Producers Cooperation in Barangay Labungan, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte has benefited a multipurpose-building with solar dryer on May 29.
The facility spans 9m x 21 m (189 sq.m), which will be used as a training center and post-harvest facility, and a 16m x 32m (512 sq.m) solar dryer.
A concreting of the farm-to-market road in Barangay Tulunan, Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Maguindanao del Sur, was handed over to the Local Government Unit on May 30.
The FMR will be connecting to three municipalities in Maguindanao del Sur. It stretches 2 kilometers and will benefit 105th and 106th brigades of BIAF Milf, farmers, and residents to transport their agricultural products.
Also, Kalutan Parang Farmers Marketing Cooperative at Barangay Making, Parang, Maguindano del Norte, received 2 units of fishing boats.
