Farmers and residents from Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur will soon benefit from a farm-to-market road, streamlining the transportation of farmers’ produce.
The Special Development Program of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform headed the three consecutive groundbreaking of FMR on October 14-15.
Engr. Mastura Abdul, MAFAR-Engineer and Member of the Inspectorate Team said, “MAFAR is committed to helping our constituents especially the Bangsamoro farmers and fisherfolk.”
Our part as members of the inspectorate team is to ensure the project is implemented by plans and specifications. Also, to make sure the quality of the projects for the beneficiaries since they are the ones who will benefit from this FMR, he added.
The project includes a 2-kilometer Concreting of Barangay Kuloy to Tapikan, Shariff Aquak, Maguindanao Del Sur, and 1.1 -kilometer Concreating of Barangay Bagong, Shariff Aquak, Maguindanao Del Sur. Followed by a 2-kilometer Concreting of Barangay Sapad, Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte.
Moreso, one beneficiary said that this project will make an impact on their lives and livelihood. They will make sure to take care of it, as everyone will be using it for transportation.
