๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ -Bangsamoro farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries received agri-fishery inputs and titles during the Bangsamoro farmers and fisherfolk week cum 4th MAFAR distribution of CLOA.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform led the activity on July 16-18, 2024 at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex.
The recipients of the agri-fishery inputs and CLOA are coops and individuals from the different provinces of the region.
Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., said that this event is a manifestation of the commitment of the BARMM government led by the Chief Minister to push its 12-point priority agenda to support farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries.
โThrough this activity, we celebrate our hardworking beneficiaries by empowering and supporting them through market linkages,โ Minister Yacob said.
Chief Minister Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, Al-Haj said โThe Bangsamoro government through the MAFAR will continue to distribute agri-fishery inputs and CLOA titles to the farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries in the region because the ultimate goal of BARMM is to uplift their livelihood.โ
He said BARMM together with the National Government will continue to distribute land titles to our farmers since this is the right and dream of the Bangsamoro. This is one of our many advocacies to provide a better and more prosperous future for the Bangsamoro farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries.
During the ceremonial distribution, at least 1,250 farmers received 2 each a bag of hybrid corn seeds and 2 bottles of urea fertilizers to STS Paeng affected. A total of 25 fisherfolk cooperatives benefited marine and freshwater gill nets and fish drying racks. 876 agrarian reform beneficiaries received their CLOAs that cover a total area of 1, 379.1287 hectares in Maguindanao, SGA, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
MAFAR also awarded 6 cooperatives under the MAFARLENDS Program (Loan for Enhancement for Necessary Development Strategy) amounting to 100, 000 Php and will paid back over three years at 0% interest.
The Special Development Project awarded 24 units of farm tractors to cooperatives from Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur.
Mr. Duran Sabtal, ARB from Sulu said โNagpapasalamat kami sa MAFAR at BARMM dahil sa isa ako sa mga beneficiaries na nakatanggap ng titulo ng lupa. Masasabi ko na sa ngayon na mayroon na akong lupa na sariling sasakahin at pagkakakitaan.โ
