To enhance operations and foster development within the ministry, a three-day workshop on the formulation of the 2024 Work and Financial Plan (WFP), Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP), and Extended Fund of FY 2023 has been conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform.
Over 150 employees from different offices, including Regional Services, Sectors, provincial offices as well as Included, special programs implemented by the ministry, actively joined the workshop held at Alnor Hotel and Convention Center, Cotabato City, from January 15 to 18, 2024.
This aims to ensure that all MAFAR’s official employees are well-informed about the strategic and effective planning the ministry will adopt for preparation for future projects and program implementations.
Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., gladly inaugurated the workshop program, extending a warm welcome to all members of the MAFARMILYA who participated.
He noted that this marks the first event where all key employees from various sectors of MAFAR gathered to witness the initiative for its future development.
He said, “This workshop is significant for us as we prepare to implement projects this year. I hope that this three-day workshop will motivate us to plan for the development of MAFAR’s projects.”
The workshop comprised significant presentations such as the Approved GAAB 2024, the status of extended GAAB 2023, along with the Bangsamoro Treasury System Disbursement (BTSD) and the 2025 MAFAR Budget Calendar.
Furthermore, in advancing the formulation and planning of future ministry projects, BEDS templates, and PPMP inputs were also presented.
During the workshop, Participants had the opportunity to formulate their BEDs and PPMP for FY 2024.
Another crucial step in the process involves scheduling an internal budget hearing within MAFAR, ensuring thorough, comprehensive discussions and evaluations regarding the budget.
This demonstrates the ministry’s dedication to continuous collaboration, ensuring efficient implementation and progress of its initiatives throughout the entire year.
