The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform conducted simultaneous Year-End Performance Assessment Review at General Santos City on February 2024.
The performance assessment is focused on Developing plans and programs that enhance the quality and efficiency of the Ministry’s three main services to strengthen the capability of the staff in the delivery of quality service to the Bangsamoro people.
Each service was headed by Director General for Agriculture Services Daud K. Lagasi, Ph.D., Director General for Fisheries Services Pendatun S. Patarasa, MPA, Director General for Agrarian Reform Taugan S. Kikay, Ph.D.
DG Lagasi opened the program with so much inspiration and support to continue providing quality services to their beneficiaries and to further think of innovative projects to sustain each province within BARMM, especially their food security.
DG Patarasa said, “This Performance Assessment Review that we are conducting is important because assessing our program and project is essential for our services in order to understand what went well and what went wrong.
He said that it is high time for us to validate the challenges in implementing the PAPs of the Fisheries Services for us to enhance our services for the Bangsamoro fisherfolk.
During the assessment proper, each service presented their programs, functions, and services for 2023 PAPs accomplishment, followed by a presentation of Strategic Direction and Roadmap 2023 to 2025, WFP 2024, a workshop on strategies for implementing 2024 PAPs and identifying priority PAPs for 2025 in reference to the BDIP.
Meanwhile, DG Kikay said, “As we provide service for the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries and Bangsamoro people, it is important for us to gather and overlook our performance and shortcomings during the implementation in the year 2023.”
“Our overall success will increase as a result of this activity, which promotes peace and collaboration among us. Additionally, the assessment of our services will provide valuable information about the various ways that we have contributed,” DG Kikay added.
