The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform distributed another 128 heads of native goats to the Farmers’ Cooperative in the Special Geographic Area (SGA) and Cotabato City on January 23-24.
Ninety-six (96) native goats were distributed to the local farmers from Barangay Kayaga, Kabacan, North Cotabato, while 32 were allocated to Cotabato City.
Disumimba D. Rasheed, Assistant to the Provincial Director for SGA and Cotabato City, led the ceremonial distribution and emphasized the broader impact of the initiative.
“These native goats aim to empower local farmers, providing them with a sustainable source of income and contribute to uplift the living conditions of the Bangsamoro people in the Special Geographic Area and Cotabato City.
As these goats find new homes, it is expected that the current effect will lead to positive changes in the living conditions of the beneficiaries, fostering a resilient and thriving community.
DOS and Cotabato City MAFAR Municipal Officer Engr. Fahmi U. Acob, MAFAR Regional Office representatives, and Barangay Officials witnessed the ceremonial distribution.
