The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform proudly participated in the 2nd National Agriculture and Fisheries Technology Exhibition, standing out among 45 contenders from across the Philippines and securing the gold medal in the booth competition held at Cagayan de Oro City from June 3 to 7, 2024.
Director of DA-BAR, Dr. Junel B. Soriano, said, “As we embark on this journey together, let us not only measure our progress by the advancements we achieve, but also by the lives we impact and the communities we uplift.”
“May this year’s NAFTE serve as a platform for learning, innovation, and the forging of new partnerships, propelling our farmers, fishers, communities, and nation towards a brighter and more prosperous future,” he added.
Following this, Senator Mark A. Villar, Chair of the Philippine Senate Committee on Government Corporations and Public Enterprises, as well as Banks, Financial Institutions, and Currencies, extended his heartfelt congratulations to all exhibitors. He remarked, “Congratulations to all the exhibitors for your presence here today and for your dedication to developing new technologies and solutions that will aid our farmers and fisherfolk. The adoption of modern techniques and tools greatly eases their work. I hope this exhibition serves as an inspiration for all of you to contribute to a greater cause. I am truly impressed by your commitment to research and development for our agriculture and fisheries sector. Long live to all!”
One of the highlights of this year’s exhibition was the NAFTE’s Regions Got Talent competition, in which MAFAR-BARMM secured the third position alongside Region 12 and Region 13.
MAFAR-BARMM continues to shine as a formidable contender yearly at the National Agriculture and Fisheries Technology Exhibition.
