The Special Development Program of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform led the simultaneous groundbreaking and inspection of infrastructure projects in some areas in Maguindanao on October 9-16, 2024.
The ceremonial groundbreaking aims to Improve infrastructure that meets community needs and supports economic development.
MAFAR-SDF Program Officer Roselainie A. Mamalaguia, MAPDS, and Engr. Najib Usman led the simultaneous groundbreaking together with SDF Engineers and the MAFAR inspectorate team.
Program Officer Mamalaguia said, “The MAFAR-SDF reflects the Bangsamoro Government’s commitment, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, Al-Hadj, and Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., to improve and develop the lives of the farmers and fisherfolk.
She said this project will be successful through our cooperation from the leader down to the beneficiaries. MAFAR-SDF will ensure the monitoring of the project from the contractor until turnover to our beneficiaries.
“The success of one Bangsamoro is the success of the future Bangsamoro future’s generation,” she added.
A Solar Powered Feed Mill will contract in Brgy. Labungan, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao
Del Norte will help farmers operate machinery for grinding and processing animal feed, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources and lowering operational costs while promoting sustainability in agricultural practices.
Multipurpose Building with Solar Drying Pavement will be constructed in Barangay Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, and Barangay Ganta, Shariff Saydona has a total floor area of 12×28 meters. While Barangay Kurintem, Datu Odin Sinsuat Maguindanao Del Norte has a total floor area of 9×19.6 meters, and the solar drying payment is 16X32 meters with 100mm thickness and a drying capacity of 80-100 bags.
To provide a safe shelter that promotes the health and productivity of the goats, the Barangay Pidsandawan, Barangay Dapantis, Rajah Buayan, and Barangay Alamada, Sultan Kudarat will soon benefit a goat shed with a floor area of 3×25 meters.
Farmers in Barangay Pidsandawan, Rajah Buayan will have a Warehouse with a Solar Dryer that spans 12 meters by 20 meters, while the solar dryer will cover 16 meters by 32 meters.
In addition, several inspections of SDF projects were also conducted in Sitio Manisan, Barangay Malatimon, Barangay Talisawa, Datu Abdullah Sangki, Barangay Labungan, Datu Odin Sinsuat and Barangay Kalanganan, Cotabato City.
